COURT CONVENES AT 5:30 P.M. ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH AND IS HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS AT CITY HALL.  CASES ARE HEARD ON A FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVE BASIS.  REGULAR OFFICE HOURS ARE MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M. (CLOSED 1 P.M. - 2 P.M.) THE OFFICE IS CLOSED ON FRIDAY.  ONLINE CITATION PAYMENT OPTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

COURT INFORMATION:

  • Arrive at Court on time
  • Appropriate dress is required
  • Defendant's under the age of 18 must appear with a parent or legal guardian
  • All electronic devices must be turned off
  • Amendment options may be available for certain moving violations (additional fees apply).  Contact the Court Clerk for more information.
  • If you need a continuance, please contact the court clerk.  Continuances will be granted one time by phone.  Future continuance requests must be made in person before the judge.  
  • If your citation has a fine amount listed and you wish to plead guilty, you can pay online by clicking on the link below.  Please read the terms and conditions listed on the back of your citation before paying online.
  • If your citation lists "COURT", you must appear in court on the specified court date and time.

You may file an Entry of Appearance by fax (913-631-5761) or by email (clerk@lakequivira.ks.gov).  If you would like to request discovery, please click on the link below for a Request for Discovery Form.  Costs for discovery are listed on the form.  Payment should be made in the form of a check or money order and made payable to the Lake Quivira Police Department.  An Entry of Appearance, and payment for discovery, are required in advance of discovery being released.
