Renner Road Property Acquisition

The City of Lake Quivira completed clean-up activities on the 40-acre property acquired by the City at the end of 2021. Demolition work was completed and the land cleared of debris in March 2023. In April 2023, members of the Land Development Committee along with Olsson Engineering walked the property to better understand the land, erosion issues, elevation drops and watershed possibilities. Olsson performed a sediment/water study to identify potential erosion sources that contribute to the sediment into Lake Quivira. Recommendations are under review to determine next steps.
