Lake Quivira Safety Day

The City of Lake Quivira is joining forces with Quivira Inc. to co-host the first-ever Lake Quivira Safety Day.

June 5, 2025

This volunteer-driven initiative will feature a variety of activities designed to enhance community safety and strengthen connections, including:

  • Meet & Greet: Interact with representatives from the Lake Quivira Police Department (LQPD), Shawnee Fire Department, and De Soto Fire Department.
  • Safety Activities: Enjoy fun and educational sessions focused on bike, golf cart, and beach safety.
  • Take advantage of car seat checks, boat safety tips, CPR demonstrations, and a dunk tank on the beach.
  • Savor the delicious offerings from a taco food truck.
