Council Meetings
The City Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings are open to the public.
If a city-observed holiday falls on the first Monday of the month, the council meeting will be held on the second Monday of the month. Lake Quivira follows and observes holidays per the State of Kansas Holiday Schedule.

Kansas Open Meetings Act - The City of Lake Quivira follows the State of Kansas rules and guidelines relating to Open Meetings (KOMA). The KOMA is a law that guarantees anyone the right to observe governmental policy makers, such as your local school board, city council, county commissioners or most functions of the state legislature, that make the decisions affecting your life.
Kansas Open Records Act - The Kansas Open Records Act is a series of laws designed to guarantee that the public has access to public records of government bodies at all levels in Kansas. The act defines public records as any records that are created or kept in public agencies and that pertain to the workings of the government. How To Get on the Agenda - If you have an item of discussion and would like to be placed on the agenda for an upcoming Council Meeting, please email the city clerk by 4 pm the Thursday before the meeting. Include your name, contact information, affiliation if you are not speaking as a resident, topic, and any documents you would like distributed.
