The City of Lake Quivira is requesting residents provide input to Wyandotte County (WYCO) as part of an initiative called The Wyandotte County Vision Zero Action Plan. WYCO has introduced the program to help them prioritize infrastructure improvements to make streets safer. WYCO is soliciting input through June 30 from the community on locations where you feel unsafe while walking, biking, driving, or otherwise getting around..

Mayor Dave McCullough is requesting Lake Quivira residents participate and specifically provide feedback on unsafe traffic moving on Holliday Drive in Lake Quivira city limits.

Click here to provide your input by the June 30-deadline. Then press the "OK" button. You will go to a map where you can search by location (Lake Quivira), select an icon to indicate the type of your concern, and add your comments.

Through the Wyandotte County Vision Zero Action Plan, the county hopes to eliminate fatalities and serious injuries from crashes as well as unsafe behavior impacting roadways. The plan will focus on (1) identifying critical safety challenges across the county and (2) addressing those challenges through county-wide strategies and targeted projects. With community input, this plan will prioritize infrastructure improvements that make our streets safer for everyone.
