Celebrating Kathy Simpson’s Dedication to the City of Lake Quivira

Kathy Simpson has shown dedication and vision in her work for the City of Lake Quivira over the past years.  She has worked tirelessly and behind the scenes to foster a true sense of community, ensuring that residents feel welcomed and connected.

Her accomplishments include producing a quarterly city newsletter, creating and publishing Naturally Quivira, a publication that highlights Quivira’s natural resources, writing and producing videos such as the 100-year historical celebration and safety videos, and most recently, launching the City’s new website (www.cityoflakequivira.org). Through these initiatives, Kathy has professionalized the City’s communications and elevated its presence.

At the council meeting on June 3, 2025, Kathy was honored with a key to the city, a testament to the gratitude felt by the mayor and council members for her service and vision. She has made an impact on the city that will continue to inspire and shape Lake Quivira for generations to come.
