The City of Lake Quivira Hosts Johnson & Wyandotte Counties Council of Mayors Meeting

The Lake Quivira Country Club set the scene for the latest Johnson & Wyandotte Counties Council of Mayors meeting held on April 9th, hosted by Lake Quivira Mayor David McCullagh. Mayors and representatives from various cities, including Bonner Springs, De Soto, Fairway, Kansas City, Leawood, Merriam, Mission, Mission Hills, Mission Woods, Prairie Village, Shawnee, Westwood, and Westwood Hills gathered for the monthly event. Also in attendance were Chief Judge Karen Arnold-Burger, Jennifer Lee, City Administrator for Mission Hills, and Kathy Bounds, City Clerk & City Administrator for Lake Quivira.
Attendees were treated to a scenic view of the lake while enjoying a delicious meal and delving into discussions on regional topics. Chief Judge Karen Arnold-Burger presented information related to the rich history of the Quindaro Ruins and ongoing initiatives to revitalize the historic area. The event fostered collaboration and celebrated the unity of leaders committed to the growth and development of their communities.
